A Workshop for Non-Hispanic/Latino Congregations Interested in Developing Hispanic/Latino Ministries
Sponsored by The West Michigan Conference Committee on Hispanic/Latino Ministries
This workshop is a ‘how to’ develop ministries with Hispanics and Latinos. You will learn about Hispanic/Latino culture, different models of ministry, and some challenges in developing the ministry.
At the end of the workshop, you will have completed a plan with first steps to reaching out and being in ministry with Hispanics/Latinos. This workshop is a safe space to come and ask questions and learn. You are invited to help fulfill God’s vision of the church that was born on that day on Pentecost, a “church for all nations” and “a church that affirms the cultural identities and not just the language of those among whom we are called to witness.”
It is recommended that each church bring a team of at least 3 people to the workshop.
The resource used for this workshop will be Pentecost Journey: A Planning Guide for Non-Hispanic/Latino Congregations.
