Children’s Ministry Forum – Discipleship Ministries

Rock On – Renew – Discover – Respond

Children’s Ministry Forum is for children’s ministries leaders in large membership congregations (with at least 300 in worship). However, leaders from all size congregations are welcome.

(For our purposes, leader is defined as anyone who assumes a responsibility within the scope of children’s ministry i.e. directors, Sunday school teachers, children’s council coordinators, weekday staff, choir directors, etc.)

This is an annual event (except for years in which the Children’s Ministry Conference event is offered) and normally meets in a large church in order to offer hospitality and showcase best practices.

Each day’s structure will be guided by one of the three words:

  • Day 1: Renew: looking at our own faith journey, offering space/time for renewal and soul care.
  • Day 2: Discover: practical ideas of how to build, sustain, and grow faithful ministry with children.
  • Day 3: Respond: Insight into how we take what we learned back to our congregations/How do we Rock On in difficult situations.

Leaders in ministry with children from across the connection will be gathering in Little Rock, AR for a time of renewal, discovery, and listening to how God is calling them to respond.

With over 80 workshops, five pre-conference seminars, an inspirational preacher (Rev. Telley Gadson), and three gifted keynote speakers (Rev. Leanne Hadley, Rev. Claire Burgett Cleaver, and Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Cleaver III) there is something for everyone at this conference. There will also be time for spiritual renewal and reflection, networking, and relationship building.
