This all-day, reasonably priced teaching conference is designed to help pastors and church leaders get started and continue transitioning their congregation through change.
This conference offers a variety of workshops on a multitude of topics from strategic planning, volunteers, communications, leadership, hospitality, administrative structure, outreach and much more.

Bridges Out of Poverty looks at the dynamics that cause and maintain poverty from an individual to systemic level and provides strategies to prevent, reduce and alleviate poverty in your community.
- Give examples of hidden rules among classes.
- Analyze the eight resources of a customer or employee.
- Explain ow economic realities affect patterns of living.
- Explain language registers, discourse patterns and story structure.
- Explain how mental models are effective interventions for cognitive and language barriers.
- Identify principles for improving outcomes with individuals from generational poverty.
This is a great opportunity for churches and individuals to create best practices for reaching out to the community.

Crossroads District is sponsoring another Take it to the Streets on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Flint, Clarkston and Owosso.
Volunteers from those communities will gather to feed the hungry, remove blight, minister to the sick, shut-ins and homeless, landscape and beautify public areas, plant community gardens and more! There is something for everyone!

Crossroads District United Methodist Women is hosting their Social Action Day on April 9, 2016 at Davison UMC, 207 East Third Street, Davison, MI 48423. Doors open at 9:30a.m. and presentation begins at 10a.m.
The presentation will be on Human Trafficking: Modern Day Slavery, Keynote Speaker: Jane P. White, who is the Director and Founder of the Michigan Human Trafficking Taskforce. All are welcome to attend this informative presentation.
